New experiment with Mythic Legions

Here is a new experiment in toy photography.
In this diorama, I aimed to achieve a sense of movement where, after a duel, Skapular the Cryptbreaker (from the first series of Mythic Legions by Four Horsemen Studios) manages to gain the upper hand over a knight, decapitating him with a sword stroke. In this experiment, I tried to recreate the effect of a blood splatter using a syringe with fake blood. I am not entirely satisfied with the final result, but it's a good starting point. As usual, with practice, one learns a lot of things.

Diorama In Progress: Battle of Staffarda, 1690

Here is one of the last tests of the diorama I am making on the Battle of Staffarda.

Every single soldier present is a real reenactor who was present at the last battle in 2023.

Given the complexity of the diorama due in the first instance to the weather conditions, i.e. waiting to be able to take the photos on a clear day with little wind, and in the second instance to the number of paper soldiers present, I decided to take four different shots with one of the regiments in the foreground in turn.

This is because it is impossible to get a single shot with the whole line in focus. In this first shot, in fact, you can see in the foreground the Piedmontese infantrymen (grey uniform) and then the Spanish michelettes (blue uniforms) and the Piedmontese navy infantrymen of whom only the standard can be glimpsed. I could also take the photo by putting the soldiers in a sort of diagonal but even here I would not be able to frame them all.
