Compatible Accessories for Playmobil!

Can accessories made for other toy brands work with Playmobil figures? In June 2018, thanks to a tip from the PlaymoFriends forum, I decided to try some Schleich medieval accessories with my Playmobil collection.

I bought a tournament set and a medieval tower. Here are my first impressions and the original photographs of the pieces together.

Schleich Tournament Accessories with Playmobil Knights

The tournament lances were a pleasant surprise. They are made of plastic and felt sturdy in my hands. Their long shape also gives the Playmobil knight a striking medieval tournament look.

The tower openings create interesting viewpoints for miniature photography.

A Schleich Medieval Tower for Playmobil Scenes

The tower impressed me just as much. Its textured stone walls, narrow windows and crenellated top make it an attractive backdrop for medieval Playmobil scenes. It also felt very solid when I handled it.

The photographs show the tower both from outside and from above, with Playmobil figures alongside it to illustrate the scale.

Are Schleich Accessories Compatible with Playmobil?

For my medieval collection, these Schleich pieces worked well as complementary accessories and scenery. That does not mean every Schleich product will fit every Playmobil figure perfectly: proportions and attachment points can vary from item to item.

If you enjoy building medieval Playmobil dioramas, it is worth looking beyond official accessories for additional scenery and equipment. This little experiment was one of my early steps in exploring that idea.
