One of the things I enjoy most about the Playmobil and LEGO customising community is seeing how our creations can become part of someone else's projects.
Today I would like to thank Play_Maxx, a talented Playmobil enthusiast who created this beautiful diorama and included one of my handmade shields.
The shield features heraldry inspired by LEGO Castle knights, adapted for use with Playmobil figures. Seeing it incorporated into another collector's diorama was a wonderful surprise and a real honour.

Three Custom Playmobil Shields as a Thank You
To thank Max for including my work in his diorama, I decided to create three new Playmobil shield designs especially for him.
Max sent me images of classic triangular Playmobil shields, featuring heraldic designs from older Playmobil knight collections.
These shields reminded me of the historical Playmobil sets from the 1980s and 1990s.
The challenge was to adapt their original designs to a different shape: the oval Playmobil shield.
Adapting Classic Heraldry to Oval Shields
A design created for a triangular shield does not always fit naturally onto an oval one.
The proportions are different, and the heraldic symbols need to be adapted to work within the new outline.
For this project, I reworked the three designs supplied by Max, preserving their original heraldic character while making them suitable for oval shields.
I particularly enjoy projects like this because they combine nostalgia for classic Playmobil knights with the possibilities offered by modern customisation.

I have also made these three custom shield designs available for fellow Playmobil enthusiasts.

Many thanks again to Max for sharing his beautiful diorama and for giving me the opportunity to contribute to his project.
